OBJECT:To create & race a team of 8 drivers that will amass the highest team points total throughout the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
COST: You pay a one-time entry fee of $40.00. This covers all of your basic expenses for the entire season, with the exception of trade credits. That's less than $1.25 per race!
SIGN-UP: Contact a representative via e-mail, or by phone. Contacts are listed below. Your final starting line-up must be received before green flag at the Daytona 500. Payment may be arranged with your representative. FCRL can accept PayPal for entry fees. Again, contact a representative for details.
SET-UP: You get $10 Million in Fantasy Dollars with which to draft an 8-driver team (see Driver Values). Values are based upon each driver's performance during the 2009 season, and allowances are made for expectations during 2010. You must keep 8 drivers at all times and never exceed your salary cap. Any team found over the cap will be reverted to their last legal line-up. You are responsible for your own team, so be careful!
TRADES/CHANGES:You may make trades, up to 2 drivers per week, at no cost. You may also purchase a 3rd trade on any week at a cost of $5.00, or one trade credit . You may never make more than a total of three trades in any single week. (see Your Trade Account). Again, you must keep 8 drivers & not exceed the salary cap. Why trade? If any of your drivers qualify poorly, don't qualify, get fired, whatever. Just be sure your trades are in before the green flag for that race. All incoming calls and e-mails are time-stamped, so please, be on time. Any team taking advantage of a third trade must either pay for it, or have a credit available in their account at the time the extra trade is made. No third trades will be taken against future weekly high scores. When e-mailing or phoning your trades, kindly submit your entire team, showing trades. This helps to avoid confusion, and keep scoring errors to a minimum.
YOUR TRADE ACCOUNT:Every team will have a trade account. You may pay into it in advance or at any time during the season. You may also earn credit to your account by winning a High Weekly Score. Each High Weekly Score you win pays 1 credit worth $5.00 to your trade account. These credits can be used to purchase a 3rd trade on any given week. We strongly encourage teams to take full advantage of their Trade Credits, as any credits left in your account will be forfeited at season's end. Teams must either use their credits, or lose them. The exception to this is the season finale at Homestead, which will pay $5.00 for Weekly High Score, as there will be no future chance to use the credit.
IN CASE OF RAINOUT: If an event is rescheduled for the Monday or Tuesday immediately following the original date, trades will be accepted right up to green flag. If the start of an event is postponed until another open weekend, all trades will be voided, and teams revert to their last lineup. If a race is interrupted by weather, and the finish is rescheduled to a later date, your lineup for that race will stand for the finish.
SCORING: Your drivers score the same points, bonuses as penalties for a race as their real-life counterparts. These points are tallied toward your weekly and season totals. Penalties will only be issued for in-race infractions where a driver was docked points. Scores are obtained thru NASCAR online, after results are made official. Scores/Standings are normally posted the Thursday after a race. If you feel your score is in error, by all means, contact us! We admit, we're not perfect & we'll gladly take the time to find the problem. We welcome any feedback from our team owners.
TIES: Ties for high weekly score in the same week go to the team with the higher season-to-date total score. If 2 or more teams are tied for a position in the standings, the position goes to the team with the higher single week. In the very unlikely event that teams tie for a paying position at season's end and they have the same high single week, they will split the total prizes for those positions.
PRIZES:Our end-of-year jackpot is made up of your entry fees, plus all charges for 3rd trades, less operating expenses. Basically, the more players we have, and the more often they purchase 3rd trades, the larger the prizes and the more things we can pay out for. At this time, we plan on at least the top 5 finishers, and highest single week.
